Best Emollients for Hand Creams

A lot of us have taken up the habit of regularly applying cream on our hands. Some do it as often as when they wash their hands. Others are not that fanatic but they still apply hand cream as much as twice or thrice a day. There is no rule as the number of times hand cream should be applied. It is up to the person to apply whenever she feels the need.

Hand creams are only as good as the emollients that they contain. Here are some that are commonly used. Babassu is a wax from an Amazonian palm. It can relieve both dry and oily skin. Shea butter is a natural emollient and moisturizer that is readily absorbed by the skin. It is effective against irritation and inflammation. Natural vitamin E provides nutrients that prevent stress that is damaging to the skin.

Sometimes, a body lotion is not enough to provide temporary relief to dry skin. Many women say that a body cream is better as it really improves skin moisture as well as protects the skin against the signs of aging.

A good body cream with natural ingredients can give many benefits. It penetrates deep into the skin to:~increase skin strength and elasticity by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin~improve radiance by giving skin a uniform color and a creamy, youthful glow~reduce inflammation and redness that is usually caused by dry skin~help minimize the appearance of stretch marks and scars when you use a cream that contains natural vitamin E, grapeseed oil, or jojoba oil.

yeast infection treatment

One of the most unglamorous things than man and women have to deal with is scratching an itch, especially when the itch is down there. It just doesn’t look good. In fact, most people (women and some men) do it on the sly. An itch down there has lots of causes from tight or bad underwear to yeast infection, yikes. Every female should learn how to deal with yeast infection treatment.

Before learning about yeast infection treatment you have to know what yeast is. Yeast is fungi. Like all fungi it grows in warm damp climates. Some of the symptoms of yeast infection is a thick discharge similar to cottage cheese. It is also very itchy often accompanied with a burning sensation when you scratch it. It may also burn and hurt when you pee. To clarify, for practicality, it is considered a STD. It can be transmitted sexually. Medically however, it’s not. Most yeast infection can be treated by over the counter drugs. Severe cases however (enough to weaken your immune system) medical treatment is advised. If you are pregnant, consult your doctor first before treating it with over the counter drugs.

Anti-aging eye cream

September 23rd, 2009

We need a special cream for the area around the eye because it is the part of the face that moves a lot. The eye blinks a lot and this means that the skin around it is worked more than the other parts. The skin around the eyes is much more sensitive. It needs a special kind of moisturizing cream that will slow down the degeneration of collagen in the skin. Anti-aging eye cream will help repair the damage of overstretched delicate skin.

Most creams and lotions go through rigorous safety testing. This is especially true for eye creams because of the sensitive area on which they will be used. When we do the application, we should also be conscious of this and follow instructions on how to properly apply the creams. The cream should be pat on gently on the under eye area, working from the inner corners outwards. Repeat for the upper eyelid area, again working from the inner part of your eye outwards, following the contour of your eye. Apply in a gentle circular motion along the outer corners of your eyes to smooth the appearance of lines. The operable word here is ‘pat on gently’. Avoid rubbing it vigorously on the skin.
