During these times, people are too busy to take a break and chill. They are always on the go and have some deadline to meet or some errand to make. At the end of the day, they all complain that they have a boring life. Added to that, their health and overall well-being is sacrificed.

That’s why I bought myself an Omega Montage Premier chair. With this baby, I can sit back and relax for even just a few minutes and get a massage in the process. This may sound very simple but I assure you that it’s the perfect relaxation chair. If you want to take a break even just for half an hour, it will be perfect for you and even your other family members.

The Healing Touch

I recently went through a surgery because of a complication diagnosed by my doctor. It was really hard because it’s as if my life went on a standstill and I cannot function the way I used to after the surgery. I was really in a lot of pain and I cannot even do tasks that were so easy for me before. I relied on other people a lot and it really bothered me.

It was a good thing that my sister introduced me to massage therapy. She told me that it would help in relieving chemicals in my body, thus causing overall relief for me. All throughout my massage therapy, I used Realheal massage oil and it really did help a lot. I feel better now and everyday, I can feel its good effect. Hopefully, soon enough, I will manage to function normally again.

Oftentimes, a simple massage can relieve aching muscles. It involves the manipulation of superficial as well as deeper layers of muscle and connective tissues. This is done by applying stationary or moving pressure on the target tissue. It aids in the healing process and enhancement of its functions. It also promotes relaxation and well being.

The massage process can be done manually or with mechanical aids. A leg massager is specifically designed to massage the feet, ankle and calves all at the same time. A combination of kneading and vibratory actions provides a relaxing and revitalizing experience. There are currently different models available in the market. Complete your bathroom’s spa look with natural furnishings. Use a clay pot instead of a plastic tray to organize your aromatherapy massage oils. Place bath gels and body scrubs in wooden trays by the shower. Fill a native basket with magazines and books that you enjoy. Keep these updated and within easy reach.

Burn a soothing aromatherapy candle while you soak in the tub. Invigorate your senses with aromatherapy massage oils. Pure essential oils have a wide range of therapeutic benefits. But, remember that essential oil should never be applied undiluted to the skin. Check your bottles for proper dilution as less is more when it comes to these powerful essences.

hot stone massage

April 23rd, 2009

In layman’s language, a massage may be described simply as a soft massage or a hard massage. The truth is there are many different kinds of massage. The Swedish massage makes use of long, smooth strokes, kneading and circular movements. Aromatherapy massage uses aromatherapy oils. Lavender is one of the most common essential oils used.

In hot stone massage, heated stones are placed on certain parts of the body to warm and loosen tight muscles. With gentle pressure from the massage therapist, the result is comforting warmth. The warmth of the stone improves circulation and calms the nervous system. This kind of massage is recommended for back aches and pain from arthritis. Be careful, though, as it is not recommended for people with skin disease and pregnant women.
