Senior health

They say that age is just a number. But it is a number that comes with side effects that are not always pleasant. The most obvious changes occur in the physical appearance of the person and in the efficiency of organs and systems in the body. You will experience incompetence in the pumping of the heart, weaker bones, muscles and joints or fading eyesight due to cataracts, glaucoma or eye irregularities. Senior health becomes of utmost importance to the person over 60.

To be a hearty senior citizen involves a lifestyle that includes a healthy diet, appropriate exercise and being productive in a way that is not stressful. Many of todays older generation stay active and are more energetic than their parents. This is because communities these days ensure that there are activities that cater to senior individuals special needs. They organize events geared towards socializing like afternoon parties or bingo socials. They encourage exercise by setting up walking paths and pools that are attuned to the needs of the senior person.
