shower chair
When my mom broke her hip two years ago, she needed assistance and attention all the time. After her surgery, we took her home and took turns taking care of her for the first month. Eventually we had to hire a nurse who could help her move about. We also borrowed a wheelchair and a shower chair from an aunt who had also previously broken her hip. Apparently, brittle bones run in the family so I have to double up on my calcium intake so I don’t end up with a broken body part in the future.
My mom used the wheelchair whenever she had to move around in the house and when she had to go to her doctor for check up. She used the shower chair everyday; her nurse would put her there and bathe her. It took only a few months for my mom to recover. In no time she was up and walking about. We warned her however that she had to be very careful. We did not want her to break any part of her body again.
