exercise for the elderly
Many physical changes occur as people age. The skin becomes thinner and less elastic while wrinkles appear in increasing numbers. Hair also starts to thin out as it changes to shades of gray or white. Although everyone will go through these processes naturally, you can still control other physical aspects such as posture and weight by doing some exercise for the elderly.
Benefits of regular exercise include:
~Promotion of well-being and a sense of feeling younger which results to more self-confidence and better psychological health
~Reduction of depression especially if the exercise is done as a social activity. Spend time with friends at the gym or through walks in the park
~Avoidance of disabilities caused by chronic diseases and illnesses
~Decrease in diabetes risk and increase of body function abilities
