Plate trees

June 22nd, 2009

Weightlifting requires discipline in areas other than the actual execution of the exercises. Wear appropriate clothing. Clothes made of natural fibers are better than synthetic materials because they breathe better. It is also preferable to wear layers of clothing rather than one thick piece. Weight lifting shoes can enhance performance as they help encourage good posture with a block heal and a strong arch.

Warm up before starting and cool down thoroughly at the end. Do slow and sustained stretches. Mind your breathing – exhale at the point of greatest exertion. Control the weights at all times and make sure to use the correct lifting technique. Most important of all is to use well maintained equipment. Plate trees will be a great help in keeping your weights safe and in order.
