high intensity workouts

November 5th, 2009

People should have specific goals in mind before starting any sort of exercise. For instance, if you are training to climb a mountain or plan to go backpacking with several steady days of hiking, you will have to lose pounds to make it easier to move around.

To burn calories more effectively during exercise, fitness experts recommended short but high intensity workouts instead of going for longer but lower intensity exercises. The American College of Sports Medicine reports that more calories are eliminated when one engages in short, high intensity exercises.
