The shoulder area of the body has muscle groups that typically are not worked during every day activities. This is the main reason why people need to do shoulder exercises. There are two types of exercises you can do to work out the shoulders:
~Strength training or muscle building includes things such as dumbbell rows and overhead presses. In some cases, these exercises involve using resistance with the weight to increase muscle mass.
~Stretching works on extending the muscles rather than building muscle mass. These exercises will benefit those who want to improve their posture or who recently had surgery.
