ankle resistance bands
Most athletes are prone to injuries and ankle injury is the most common. Sports therapists recommend the use of ankle resistance bands for rehabilitation. These are made of pliable materials such as rubber and latex. They provide different levels of resistance based on the band’s elasticity. They come in medium and heavy resistance with a common size of 46cm.
Ankle resistance bands do not only cure but could help prevent future injuries. This is possible through performing ankle resistance exercises. Ankle band is usually fixed to a steady object (like a heavy pole) and gently pulled by the foot and toes against resistance. Starting with the lowest level of resistance is advised and move to the next level one the exercise becomes too easy. This will surely make the ankle strong and ready for sporting activities.
