In order to keep your clippers in good condition and to make it more durable you need to take some care of the blades. This would avoid costly clipper repairs. The blades need to cleaned and oiled pretty frequently in order to maintain its efficiency. Depending on the clippers cleaning the blades should not be a problem for anybody. Some clippers are designed in a way that they can have both attachable and detachable blades.

The very first thing that you need to do is that you need a piece of clean towel or a rag to keep the clippers on so that the dirt or hair does not get inside it. The second thing is to remove the blade assembly from the clipper. For a detachable model you should find a black latch below the blade assembly. The next thing that is to be done is to clean the clipper blades carefully. The cleaning process differs slightly depending upon the type of blade you have.
