styling combs

October 29th, 2009

Detangle your hair after shampooing to make it more presentable before it even gets dry. Get help from styling combs instead of just trying to run your fingers through your hair. Squeeze out extra moisture from your hair before starting to remove tangles from ends to root. Be reminded that wet hair is most sensitive and vulnerable to breaking and splitting so go gently on the combing.

To make styling easier, apply a leave in conditioner so that the styling comb can effortlessly slide across your hair. Never use a brush for detangling as this will stretch the hair and cause strands to break. For tough knots, use your fingers first to loosen them before continuing to use your styling comb.
