Stop Smoking and Become Healthier

A lot of smokers already know that smoking is bad for their health. However, few make the effort to quit saying it is too difficult. This is not so according to experts. If a person is really determined to get rid of the habit, there are various alternatives to smoking that won’t compromise health.

Some of the things you can do:

  • Throw out all cigarettes and matches. Have your teeth professionally cleaned. Air out your house and clean your car to eliminate smoking odors.
  • Only go to places where smoking is prohibited. Take up healthy physical activities.
  • Stick to smoke-free friends as much as possible. Take along low-calorie snacks like apples, cinnamon sticks, and carrots during trips.
  • When the urge to smoke becomes intense, take deep breaths, drink cold water or juice and do something else instead.
