Chinese herbs
Acupuncture is often considered complimentary to Western medical treatments. Acupuncturists frequently use Chinese herbs to treat specific problems and promote general health in patients. Most herbal formulas have up to 15 herbs and are available in powder or pill form. Centuries of tradition has come up with herbs that are categorized in terms of taste, temperature and effects.
Some of the most common Chinese herbs used by acupuncturists include:~Aloe to help with constipation, kill parasites, and aid digestion ~Black pepper to ease symptoms of vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. ~Cinnamon for the common cold, arthritic joint pain, and blood circulation. ~Dandelion to treat abscesses, jaundice and sores as well as promote lactation ~Licorice that aids digestion, treats coughs and wheezing, relieves sore throats and reduces leg spasms and pain ~Mint to treat fevers, headache, sore throats, and coughs, and also to relieve red eyes
