Chinese acupuncture

April 1st, 2009

Before all else fails in the area of prescription medicines and other more drastic medical interventions, consider alternative methods too in treating a chronic illness. The ancient art of Chinese acupuncture can be used as a pain reliever, anesthesia and a treatment for a variety of conditions that include arthritis, ulcers, and migraine. This involves inserting fine needles into the body at specified points.

According to research, acupuncture has a specific effect on the release of certain chemical transmitters. These are more known as the natural painkillers called endorphins. Endorphins are released from nerve cells in the brain. Nowadays, more and more people are turning to alternative methods as a way of evading serious medical treatments as much as possible.
