what is diabetes

February 3rd, 2010

It is not an exaggeration when they say that too many sweets could kill you. This could lead to the immunocompromised state of diabetes. But what is diabetes? This is a devastating disease that ranks 6 in the leading cause of death in 1999 to 2000. It is a pathological condition that is left irreversible.

The presence of high sugar level in the blood is the simples answer to the question – what is diabetes? Symptoms of excessive thirst, polyuria (urinary frequency), and weakness, impotence for male or blurred vision are exhibited by most patients. However, some remain asymptomatic and typically diagnosed accidentally after a regular checkup or lab test. Currently, no specific cure has been discovered to fully settle this problem. It is every diabetic patient’s aim to at least control their sugar levels.
