tinnitus

There are certain people who hear a ringing, swishing, or other type of noise that seems to originate in the ear or head. This condition is called tinnitus. Prevent from getting this by taking the following precautions:
~Avoid placing objects in your ear such as cotton swabs to clean the ear. These can cause a wax impaction against the eardrum which can cause tinnitus.~Protect your hearing by wearing ear plugs or earmuffs if you work in a noisy environment. Follow hearing conservation guidelines set by your company.~Reduce sound levels when around noises that bother your ears by wearing hearing protection.~Keep ear plugs or earmuffs handy for everyday noises such as blow drying your hair or using a lawnmower.
