in the ear hearing aid
January 22nd, 2009
I once read a funny story about an old aunt who was going deaf but wouldn’t get a hearing aid. Her niece and her husband always had to shout at her just so she’d know what they were saying. Tante Marie, as she was called, just wouldn’t have any of that, even if it was the discreet in the ear hearing aid.
Until her niece’s son had his operation. The boy suffered from pain in the air and after further tests, it was revealed that his adenoids were infected and needed to be removed through an operation. The boy was hard to convince about the operation, because he didn’t want Tante Marie to be the only one deaf.
