In as much as we want to avoid it, we can’t help but bring our babies in the supermarket when circumstances warrant it. Bringing my baby to the supermarket became a must for me when our nanny left. My baby seems to enjoy it so I bought him some baby shopping cart covers to ensure that he’s not exposed to germs and bacteria that shopping carts have.
The good thing though about this aisle hopping in the grocery is that it makes my son observant as his eyes were always gazing everywhere. He looks at everything with amazement and interest that sometimes elicits babble and coo from his lips. The merchandisers, cashier and security guards are now familiar with him as they always see us every two weeks. They even commended me for having a wonderful observant baby that doesn’t make any crying fits.
