Emergency food kits

Survival kits make emergency situations better. These helpful packs that are prepared in advance contain basic tools and supplies for different crisis situations. They come in a variety of sizes and have implements that can provide one or several of the following: shelter, warmth, sustenance, signal to rescuers, and navigation. Most survival kits contain a multi-tool knife, matches, a first aid kit, a sewing kit, and a flashlight with batteries.

Emergency food kits are a type of survival kit that hold mainly edibles and water for calamity victims. Typically, these kits have drinking water and ready-to-eat food good for several days’ use. Water purification tablets, collapsible water bags, iodine or chlorine tablets, and a container for boiling water can be found in these kits as well. Some kits also contain snare wire and fishing line and gear such as fish hooks and baits. In contrast, survival kits that aim to provide shelter and warmth to stranded individuals have blankets, tents, hats, mosquito nets, tarps, and trash bags. They also hold waterproof matches, a magnifying glass, a lighter, heat tablets, and a number of other fire-starting devices.
