Handmade soap

September 1st, 2009

Given a choice, a person would want to resort to natural means than get something that has gone through a lot of processes. Handmade soap is made completely from scratch without using any mechanical machine to come up with the finished product. It’s mostly made of natural ingredients like jojoba or olive oil. The cold soap process is implemented in making handmade soaps. This is done in a cold room temperature thus making oil nutrients for the skin intact.

Industrial soap undergoes the process of saponification wherein fats and oils come into contact with lye. With this process, very little glycerin is left in the soap which could leave the skin dry. Handmade soap on the other hand contains a good amount of glycerin. This leaves the skin hydrated, soft and silky. Each handmade soap is unique because it is made, cut and trimmed by hand.
