dietary supplements
I love reading “Schott’s Food & Drink Miscellany” by Ben Schott. I get to learn a lot of mundane to unusual information that are associated with food or eating and beverage or drinking. It gives a lot of trivia that anyone can relate to. It may not recommend the most sought-after dietary supplements but thus book can teach how to pursue a healthy eating lifestyle. It is where I read the British government’s dietary advice that I even printed it out and post it on my ref in the kitchen. Allow me to share the British government’s “Guidelines for a Healthy Diet”:
1. Enjoy your food.2. Eat a variety of different foods.3. Eat the right amount to be healthy.4. Eat plenty of food rich in starch and fiber.5. Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables.6. Avoid food that contains a lot of fat.7. Don’t have sugary foods and drinks too often.8 If you drink alcohol, drink sensibly.
