memorise

October 7th, 2009

Each generation since the dawn of time is smarter than the previous generation. The improvements made in a generation are the building blocks of the next. The downside is there is more data for the next generation to learn. They need to study, memorise and internalized the learnings of the previous generation. That’s why studying history is important.

Unfortunately, too much data will result in memory lost. I don’t have the evidence to back it up but I think each generation is getting more forgetful than the next. I think, this is partly due to the numerous data we bombard our brains. This will lead to stress, which leads to more memory lost. Imagine, we start to memorise and learn stuff from the time we were born to the time we die.
