natural weight loss pills

November 25th, 2009

Isn’t it brainless to take something into your body just because you saw it advertised or you read about it in the internet? Whether these are claimed to be natural weight loss pills or natural health supplements, it just isn’t safe. Just because the word ‘natural’ is attached to it doesn’t mean that it will be good for your body. Some natural herbs are controversial in this regard.

Diet teas are controversial products. Some are based on ephedra or its major active component ephedrine, and sometimes aspirin or willow bark. They are supposed to be “thermogenic” causing us to burn fat faster. Other diet products, especially diet teas, are based on laxatives and diuretics. These are controversial because they may only produce temporary, illusory weight loss through dehydration. Additionally, stimulant laxatives like senna and cascara sagrada are not healthy for regular use, because they are habit-forming and can cause side effects that are sometimes life-threatening.
