Cholecalciferol What?

One of the most important vitamins is Vitamin D. It has many benefits but it is essentially known for bone health. If you want to be technical about it or sound important, Vitamin D is also known as cholecalciferol. I, for one, would rather call it Vitamin D. I cannot pronounce cholecalciferol let alone spell it.

Cholecalciferol is a steroid hormone. In layman’s term it is food for your bones. It will ensure your bones are strong and healthy. The most common food source of Vitamin D is in milk. That’s why drinking milk is so important. Now, on the other hand, if you are lactose intolerant like me, you can take Vitamin D supplements. It works just as good as milk.
