People in their 50s and onwards must realize that at this point in their lives, there are very noticeable changes in their body condition. A lot of these people have worked sitting in their offices the whole day. They have lived sedentary lives. They may have also neglected their health by living abusive lifestyles. At this age, muscle mass will have deteriorated somehow, bone density is dissipating and energy is not in a level that you will feel happy about.
However, these are not reasons to think that you should completely shy away from workouts. There are senior workouts that will work for people in this age bracket. It only means that they should go for relatively low and medium intensity exercises. Frequency should be toned down to maybe 4-5 times a week to give enough time for recovery. Workout duration of 30 minutes to an hour with rep range of 6-12 should be just right.

Often the only time someone can enjoy the fruits of your labor is during their retirement age. When you’re young you get a job and finally get financial independence. Then you get married, have children and a mortgage. When you finish taking care of the essentials, it’s time to retire. Regrettably, most seniors are too tired or too cautious to do anything of value. That’s why senior exercises are so important to have a good life.
Don’t limit yourself with a weak body. By the time you’re retired you often have the money to do anything you want. You also are old enough to not listen to naysayers. Often the only thing stopping seniors are bad health and a weak body. Senior exercises will help. Even simply walking around the block a couple of time a day will do. Also, don’t think of yourself as old. Do everything yourself. Don’t ask for assistance unless you really have to. Carry your own groceries and take care of your own lawn. Even doing simple chores is enough to keep your muscle mass in tack.
